A "class" is over several weeks or months, conducted one or two times a week, for a an hour or two. There is In addition to an overview and a theoretical framework, there are hands-on, practical exercises during the class and homework to be doneprovided to enhance what is learned during classtime. We expect regular/consistent participation and that you participants spend some time on the homework.
A "workshop" is usually an afternoon around concentrating on a certain theme like an Ubuntu Installation workshop or the AV Wiki workshop etc. The key element of the workshop is the hands-on, practical exercises which constitute the majority of the time.
A "seminar" is more a presentation. No The majority of the time may be given to questions & answers; there are no hands-on but lots of questions and answers. exercises.
